Behind every success is a story worth telling. My road to discovery began a year and a half before I was introduced to Scentsy on January 2007. After a week of experiencing scary health symptoms, I went to the ER and was told that I had cancer. I then promised my children that I would stop working at the salon where I worked at that time and stay at home with them for good. It eventually turned out to be a misdiagnosis, but I intended to kept my promise anyway.

Scented candles used to be a staple in our home – in fact, I loved burning candles. However, the black soot that had started to accumulate all over our ceilings and the constant worrying over our three year old who was fascinated with flames made me think that burning candles wasn’t a good option anymore.

The Discovery

One fateful day as I was getting my hair done, my stylist began telling me about this new product that she was selling. As it turned out, it was a Scentsy warmer. It was my first encounter with Scentsy, but I immediately fell in love with the idea of having my favorite scent in my house without having to deal with a traditional candle’s accompanying risks. I immediately signed up even without seeing the products.

Shortly after signing up I hosted a Launch Party and earned over $2,000 in sales. After that, the same people that bought products from the party were calling back for more products. A few even wanted to book Scentsy parties!

A month after signing up, someone had already shown interest and asked me to help her get started. A couple of weeks later, someone else wanted the same thing. My business consistently grew to the point that I was promoted to Superstar Director in November of 2008. Today, I currently has have over 5,000 consultants in my group.

Reaping the Rewards

Not only have I found my dream job, I have also experienced so many wonderful opportunities. My dream of having a vacation with my family came true—many times over! I have earned incentive trips to Cancun, Canada, Hawaii, Punta Cana, and more. I was even able to bring my whole family to Disneyworld!
