Description

Kansas State University (commonly known as K-State) was established in 1858 and by 1863; it was the first land-grant college in the United States operating fully. It is situated in Manhattan, Kansas in a college town affectionately called The Little Apple. The university’s official color is royal purple and its official logo is Powercat. The authentic Kansas State Scentsy Warmer that represents this university is adorned with the royal purple and the school logo. You’ll enjoy the beams of light, along with the fragrance of your favorite Scentsy bar as they radiate from this warmer. It is a great momento for any student, alumni or fan.

When Kansas State University opened up for it’s first session in 1863, it became only the second public institution of higher learning to accept both men and women equally. In 1899, George Washington Owens became the first black graduate and in 1902, Minnie M. Howell became the first black female graduate. One of the university’s famous alumni is Erin Brockovich whose environmental activism accomplishments were portrayed by Julia Roberts in a Hollywood movie. Emmy Award winning actress Kirstie Alley is also an alumnus. The athletics teams belong to the Big 12 Conference and there are a total of sixteen varsity teams. They compete in Division-1 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The teams are nicknamed the Wildcats and their mascot is Willie the Wildcat. Kansas State University has the most professors of any other public university in the United States, who were nationally acknowledged by CASE/Carnegie as Professors of the Year.

We are proud to have Kansas State University represented in our Scentsy College Warmer collection.
