The University of Nebraska (commonly known as Nebraska, UNL or just UN), is located in Lincoln, NE. It is the state’s oldest and largest university, and was created in 1869, just two years after gaining statehood. The school colors are scarlet and cream and the school mascot is Herbie Husker and Lil’ Red. The athletics teams are called the Cornhuskers. The Nebraska Scentsy Warmer is part of the Scentsy College Warmers Collection, which means that a portion of the proceeds from this licensed warmer will go back to the school.
You might recognize the University of Nebraska in film and TV. Filming of a lot of the movie Yes Man, starring Jim Carrey (2008), took place at UNL. The reality show, Tommy Lee Goes to College, followed musician, Tommy Lee, as a non- traditional student at UNL. Nebraska’s athletics teams are known as the Cornhusker, or just Huskers. They participate in Division 1 (FBS in Football) the NCAA as members of the Big Ten Conference. The football team holds many records, including one for the longest college football sell out streak! It lasted 311 home games, and also hold the record for longest opening game winning streak of 25 victories, as of September 2010.
