Stanford Scentsy Warmer

Stanford University was founded by Leland and Jane Stanford in memoriam of their only child Leland Jr. who died in 1884 at fifteen (15) years old from typhoid fever. The university officially opened on October 1, 1891. It is located in Silicon Valley, California, between San Jose and San Francisco. The official university colors are cardinal red and white. The Stanford University has a stellar academic record. Fifty (50) of its members both former and present, are Nobel Prize laureates. Several world-renown companies like Google, Yahoo!, Nike, and others, have their roots in Stanford. The university’s students have won the most Turing Awards than any other university in the United States. The university also holds the original Martin Luther King Jr. papers. The athletics teams are members of the Pacific-12 Conference in Division-1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). They are called the Cardinal and are represented by the mascot named Stanford Tree. The university competes in thirty-four varsity sports. Stanford has won 103 NCAA championships, which is the 2nd most won for a university. Since 1912, Stanford athletes have won an Olympic medal in every Olympic Game. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Stanford won more medals than any other university in the United States. Every year since 1995, the university has won the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup.
